welcome to adults, an offshoot of the now closed community significant. we wish to maintain the general message of the community, which is to be friendly ooc, open-minded and to not cross any ic/ooc lines while here. we want to remind you as well that the mods are human, mistakes are made and this is not a job. please do not treat us as employees. any combative attitude will be ignored as it's hard to maintain motivation to mod when met with poor attitudes. we're here to run a community and we plan to do so as fairly as we can and will always be friendly and helpful so please, be respectful. if you think that sounds like you, please read the rest of the rules before joining!

nsfw rules - keep any and all nsfw content including photos, gifs, descriptions, etc. behind a cut with a warning. like all adult centric communities we expect you to always get consent of a writer ic or ooc to send any explicit images or content before you do so. do not use ic characteristics as an excuse for predatory behavior that may make some uncomfortable. this doesn't mean certain kinks are allowed, but you should know what lines not to cross. if you feel anyone within adults is breaking this rule please report them to the mods so we can review. if we find you are breaking these rules, you will be removed and banned from the community.

setting up is simple! please pick an age appropriate pb (18+). any pbs with problematic history of sexual abuse claims, etc. will not be accepted. you can use an ic or ooc journal so long as you avoid underscores and unnecessary underscores. your ooc post should have your character's general information within it (full name, age, birthday, occupation, hometown, etc.) as well as a 200 - 500 word blurb about their basic history and/or personality. both your ic and ooc post should be backdated. change your comment security settings to friends only or lock your entries to friends only to avoid ooc harassment.

monthly activity - you must update twice a month with anything you'd like so long as at least one post is interactive. we know some months are more busy than others so occasionally quick posts are more than okay but we do ask that more often than not real effort goes into your updates. there will be events that can go toward 1/2 of your monthly activity requirements so long as you participate fully. for rules about intros, please see the member's post. there are no rules about how often you need to comment the fp but we ask that you try to be as present as possible. we shouldn't go longer than a few days without seeing someone commenting intros and updates.

our character limit is two per writer as we feel it is hard for most to keep one/two characters active let alone more than that.

etc - we are an app-free community. this means we do not allow the use of wire/discord/etc. lastly, don't be an asshole!
